What are disadvantages of JavaFX and Silverlight? -

javafx new technology introduced sun. know limitations , pitfalls of javafx , silverlight.........

the main problems see javafx are:

  • it immature technology. while everything, others have noted, must have start somewhere, javafx immature technology in field has several more mature competitors. makes difference. flex/air , silverlight out there , in active use on place. tackle entrenched market need tools far superior what's out there, not little superior (if @ all).
  • it stacked on top of rather large jre. jre available on every major platform (and many minor ones) not ubiquitously installed. same true of flex/air , silverlight, of course, flash lighter-weight solution whole jre+javafx , latter default on target platform anyway.
  • javafx heavily reliant upon huge infrastructure surrounds java. strength, of course, given if need there's library somewhere, weakness in involves more bloat jre+javafx , starts introduce wonderful world of jar hell.
  • the final reason wary of javafx: prefer of other available ria technology. (yes, despite critiques, better.) if something, guaranteed fail. computing technology positively littered technologies preferred on chosen market. liking kiss of death it.

C#: Application without a window or taskbar item (background app) that can still use Console.WriteLine() -

i'm trying create application adheres following: no taskbar no console or form window can utilize console.writeline() .
